We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2nd international conference “Our Climate – Our Future, Regional perspectives on a global challenge” which will be held from 23-25 September, 2019 in Berlin, Germany. More information: www.reklim-conference-2019.de.

The Climate Initiative REKLIM, the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research and the Helmholtz Association are pleased to be your host at this conference. The scientific programme will offer a broad and interdisciplinary spectrum of current international and national research in the field of regional climate change.

At this conference six differnt topics will be addressed https://www.reklim-conference-2019.de/programme/sessions/, upon session 2  concerns

"Sea-level rise in a warming climate: from global drivers to coastal impacts"

Convener: Klaus Grosfeld, Birgit Hünicke, Peter Lemke, Ingo Sasgen

Sea-level rise is one of the farthest-reaching consequences of climate change, threatening densely populated coastal areas around the world. With a projected increase of over one metre within the next few centuries, sea-level rise will affect agricultural areas, large conurbations, industrial centres, habitats and the territories of many countries. This session will present new research addressing sea-level change from global to local scales. We welcome contributions on global ice, ocean, and atmospheric drivers of sea-level change, on the propagation of the sources, and on changing local mean and extreme sea levels, tackling changes in any part of the world, and in the distant past, recent history and in the future.
Deadline for receipt of abstracts: 31 May 2019

We hope that we can raise your interest in our conference. With your scientific contributions you will help us to establish an informative and exiting programme.
