Polar CORDEX is a very friendly community of regional climate researchers specializing in both Arctic and Antarctic climate simulations. We welcome abstracts on all topics related to high resolution modelling in the polar regions, including coupled regional modelling (any or all of atmosphere, ocean, sea ice, land surface, vegetation,  ice sheet!), climate projections, impact studies and climate services, climate reanalysis and model evaluation.

This year we will have a focus on how the polar modelling community can support the working groups for AR6 as well as planning some new activities for the group, likely to include a MOSAiC focus in the Arctic and Amundsen Sea focus in the Antarctic.

The Polar CORDEX annual meeting will this year be held at DMI in Copenhagen from the 7th to the 9th October 2019. Registration for the meeting is open now until 1st September.  Deadline for travel support is 1stAugust 2019

We’re particularly keen to encourage early career scientists and under-represented groups to attend and we will organize a networking event with the wider polar science community in Copenhagen during the meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen!
