Organizers invite registration and abstract submissions for the 8th Symposium on the Impacts of an Ice-Diminishing Arctic on Naval and Maritime Operations. This symposium will convene 17-18 July 2019 in Washington, D.C.

This event will feature experts speaking on Arctic marine operations, ocean and environmental issues, science, policy, law, and governance. Participants will learn about the impacts of an ice-diminishing Arctic Ocean on marine transportation; resource development; scientific research; federal, state, local, and international operations; and policy implications in the rapidly evolving Arctic.

The symposium will be webcast and recorded, and a reception will be held at the conclusion of the first day.

Participants are invited to present posters on science, technology, operations, or other related subjects.
