Amundsen Science, the organization responsible for the management of the scientific mandate of the research icebreaker CCGS Amundsen, announces the publication of a new website. The improved platform is meant to be used both by expedition participants and a larger audience wanting to learn more about the mandate and expeditions.
The new website includes:
- Ship time application process, including for international programs;
- Details on the technical characteristics of the ship and its scientific equipment;
- Access to past expedition maps and cruise reports;
- Details on the current expedition and a link to follow the ship operations in real-time;
- Links to Amundsen Science’s core datasets (including moorings) since 2003;
- A virtual reality model of the research icebreaker CCGS Amundsen;
- Guidelines for media proposals, research highlights, and press review; and
- A participant portfolio providing all the necessary documentation for a successful expedition.
