Please find below the warm invitation to ALLEA’s upcoming virtual panel discussion “Climate Sustainability in the Academic System – the Why and the How” on 1 February 2022, 15-17h (CET) via Zoom.
Followed by a panel discussion the ALLEA working group Climate Sustainability in the Academic System will present a preview of the report which will be released this year.
Our Speaker, Professor Astrid Eichhorn (University of Southern Denmark), who is also Chair of the ALLEA working group hosting the event, will be joined on the panel by
- Dr Nina Marsh (Head of the staff unit Internal Audit & Sustainability Management at the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation),
- Professor Carly McLachlan (Director of Tyndall Manchester, University of Manchester and Associate Director of the ESRC Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformation)
- Henriette Stoeber (Policy Analyst at the European University Association)
Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange ideas and best-practice examples during three break-out sessions on the topics of "Universities & University Networks," "Students & Individual Researchers," and "Funding Organizations."
