Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP) Academic Director Seth Campbell and Program Manager Annie Boucher invite you to a series of informational webinars for prospective applicants to the 2019 JIRP Field Season. There will be two sessions: the first geared toward both returning and prospective new faculty and researchers, and the second geared toward those interested in the student program.

Academic and Research Program: We are offering an informational webinar about JIRP for returning and prospective new staff/faculty on November 15th at 1:00 pm EST. Our goal is to explain the current program and outline some changes designed to better meet both the academic needs of our students and the research goals of the program and the broader community.  We invite both returning and new/prospective faculty and researchers to join us for the webinar at 1:00 pm EST to learn more. The webinar format will allow for some questions during the broadcast, but participants are encouraged to submit questions beforehand to This email address is being protected from spambots. Student Program: We are hosting an additional webinar for students and faculty interested in the JIRP student program. Our student program has grown significantly in the last five years and continues to evolve as we look toward Summer 2019. Moving forward with an eye to toward focusing student learning objectives, we are both solidifying our academic curriculum and expanding the research opportunities open to JIRP students. Both interested students and faculty/professionals/mentors who may steer students toward the program are invited to a webinar on November 20th at 1:00 pm EST to learn about plans for the academic program in 2019 and moving forward. Field Staff: You can find a job description and information about the field program at juneauicefield.org/staff/information, and information about how to apply for a staff position at juneauicefield.org/staff/how-to-apply. In previous years we have only accepted applications from student alumni, but this year we are welcoming qualified applicants without previous experience at JIRP. All application material is due January 4th for first consideration.
