Share your #PolarPride with us in the form of a Haiku!

Haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry. It has several typical characteristics, which we have modified slightly for our Polar Week theme:

+ The juxtaposition of two images or ideas

+ 17 syllables, in three phrases of 5, 7, 5.
+ A polar reference
+
Avoid rhyming, metaphors and similes

For example:

I am very cold.
Ice surrounds my every inch,

sitting on the earth.

Tweet at us (@Polar_Research) throughout Polar Week (March 19-25, 2018) using #PolarPride and we will showcase your Haiku. We encourage the use of an image as well as text.
