Polar Outreach Catalogue

The Alaska Center for Ocean Science Education Excellence will continue to promote ocean, climate change, and polar science literacy in a variety of ways. A regional resource guide is planned to to connect Arctic and Alaska ocean scientists with formal and informal educators along with an Alaska K-12 curriculum framework for climate change education aligned with state and national science standards and ocean, climate change, and earth system science principles. A portal website for Arctic climate and ocean science content and educational resources, and frequent postings and management of a listserve and social networking website to share science content and resources and will facilitate partnerships and collaborative work among members of SEANET, a network of more than 500 scientists, educators, media and science outreach specialists, community members, and youth.
