Submitting posters to the APECS Virtual Poster Session is currently offered free of charge for all registered APECS members thanks to sponsorship from the Nordic Council of Ministers. APECS reserves the right to change these terms as some date in the future.

By submitting a poster to APECS for online publication you are confirming that you have the required copyright to do so and allowing APECS to include your poster in the Virtual Poster Session for the duration of its existence. Terms of Submisson


1. Services / Consideration.


APECS shall publish a PDF version of the poster submitted by you (the “Author”). In consideration of APECS’ development, archiving and retrieval of the Author's virtual poster, the Author shall: (a) grant the license stated in Section 3.


2. Copyright Ownership.


As between APECS and the Author, the Author shall be the owner of all copyrights in and to the content contained in the printed poster and the virtual poster.


3. Copyright License.


In order for APECS to electronically archive, display and distribute the virtual poster, the Author hereby grants to APECS the right to host the virtual poster and to make it available to others in any current or future media (the “License Grant”). The License Grant includes APECS’ right to include the virtual poster in its current and future virtual poster session(s).


4. Representations and Warranties.


The Author hereby represents and warrants to APECS that:

I. the Author is the owner or authorized licensee of all right, title and interest (including all copyrights and other intellectual property rights) in and to all content that appears on the virtual poster;

II. all content that appears in the virtual poster is the Author’s original work and contains no libelous or unlawful statements, does not infringe on the rights or privacy of others or contain material or instructions that might cause harm or injury,

III. the Author’s execution and performance of this Agreement does not and shall not constitute a breach of, or otherwise violate, any written or verbal understanding or agreement between the Author and any third party; and

IV. APECS’ use of the files provided by the Author to create the virtual poster, as well as APECS’ exercise of its rights pursuant to the License Grant, shall not infringe or violate the copyrights, or other intellectual property rights, of any third party.


5. Miscellaneous.

I.  This Agreement shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the countries within which APECS operates and where the Author’s reside. Each party hereby consents to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of any court located in the pertinent countries with respect to any claim or controversy arising out of or related to this Agreement.

II. This Agreement:

a. shall benefit and bind each party and their successors and assigns;

b. contains the entire understanding and agreement of the parties; and it incorporates or supersedes all other written or verbal agreements and understandings with respect to the subject matter; and

c. may be amended or modified only in writing signed by both parties and referring specifically to the Agreement.
