Yakut Science Center of RAMS and the Government of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) was founded at the initiative of the first President of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia), M.E. Nikolaev in 2002. The first director of YSC RAMS and the Government of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) was MD, Professor Alkiviad Isidorovich Ivanov.
