The intern will be granted a temporary contract of 10-12 months with a probation period of two months. The salary will be according to the Arctic Council Secretariat Staff Rules Schedule B, level 6, step 1. The salary is subject to regular taxation in Norway. The IPS will cover travel to/from Tromsø. The IPS will not cover accommodation costs.

Office working hours are from Monday to Friday and a normal work week is 40 hours (8 hours/day) with a daily break of 30 minutes. The employee’s working hours may have to be carried out at some irregular hours under the direction of the IPS Executive Secretary. The Employee is entitled to 25 working days’ paid leave per year.
