At the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen, and Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research we are looking for a person to fill a fully funded PhD position associated with Arctic Ocean 2050, a ten-year research program to advance understanding of the current state and future evolution of the Arctic Ocean. The selected candidate will investigate how climate change affects the efficiency of the Arctic Ocean as a sink for anthropogenic carbon and is expected to take part in a 50-day long cruise to the Arctic commencing late July this year. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in marine biogeochemistry/oceanography, who are proficient in MATLAB/Python, and preferentially with some experience in marine biogeochemical data sampling, analysis and quality control.
