Are you interested in terrestrial biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, and how science can support their management into the future, in collaboration with rights- and stakeholders and policymakers? Do you have a background in ecology, conservation, geobotany, or biodiversity? Then our postdoc position might be a good fit for you! The aim of the position is to support research towards the KM-GBF target 3 (‘30x30’) in the Arctic. We especially welcome candidates with good knowledge of theory and concepts in ecology and conservation, as well as skills and experience in spatial ecological analysis and/or predictive modelling. Interest in co-production of knowledge and interaction with Indigenous representatives is required.

The position will be at postdoc level (80-100%), for initially 2 years (including a 3-months trial period), with the option for prolongation. Working location is at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, with potential field work in the Arctic. You will work in an interdisciplinary, international, diverse environment. Your work will be supervised by Prof. Gabriela Schaepman-Strub.

This postdoc position will allow you to further develop your academic profile, including publications, co-supervision of MSc and PhD students, teaching, grant application, and interaction with international biodiversity and Arctic research networks.
