We are now accepting 2027 SIO Postdoc Applications. The postdoc stipend is $74K with a one-time spending allowance of $6K.  Note that a full two years of support is offered, assuming good progress during the first year. It is being advertised but feel free to spread this around. We find that some applicants find out about this through email listservs so feel free to get this posted to your favorite ones.

The quality of applicants to this program is superb.  Many thanks to those of you who have previously contributed to the rigor of the review process.

The review criteria are:
-Evidence of /demonstrated ability - original research
-Evidence of /demonstrated ability - research productivity
-Evidence of /demonstrated ability - contributions to diversity 
-Has a supportive mentor
-Preference towards those applicants whose PhDs are not from SIO, and who did not have extensive interactions with SIO during their PhD research.  
-Preference towards those applicants who bring something unique and new to SIO.
-Preference towards mentors who have not served as a principal mentor to a SIO postdoc funded by this program in the past 4 years
-Preference towards junior faculty principal mentors
