Applications are invited for a 30-month postdoctoral position in climate science at the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), Cambridge, UK.

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated climate scientist to use models and observations to quantify the present-day occurrences of rainfall over Antarctic sea ice and enhance our understanding of the processes responsible for this, as well as develop realistic projections of rainfall over Antarctic sea ice for the future. This work is central to a new research project Rain on Antarctic Sea Ice and Its Impacts (ROASII). This role will require experience analysing and visualising different climate datasets, including from model simulations, observations and reanalysis, as well as a good understanding of climate/meteorology.
