Polar and Alpine Events Calendar
We are very pleased to announce our first “Landscapes Live” online seminar of 2021 by Heather Viles (University of Oxford) that will occur on Thursday 11th February at 7 am PST / 10 am EST / 3 pm GMT / 4 pm CET on:
“Linking life and landscape: monitoring, mapping and modelling in biogeomorphology”
Much exciting work is being done by geomorphologists, ecologists and others to quantify and understand the many ways in which life and landscape interact. This talk will illustrate recent progress in monitoring, mapping and modelling these interactions, with a focus on ants and their geomorphological roles, and stress the need for better understanding of the functional traits that underpin them.
This seminar will be live on Zoom and open to anyone interested (with a limit of 300 participants). You can register in advance for this Zoom meeting here:
