We are happy to announce the registration and abstract submission for the 17th Workshop on Antarctic Meteorology and Climate (WAMC) and the 7th Year of Polar Prediction-Southern Hemisphere (YOPP-SH) workshop that will be held in a hybrid format at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Pyle Center, and online via Zoom, Madison, Wisconsin, USA on August 4 through 6, 2022. Please note that we have the following deadlines:
- Friday, July 15 — Registration and short abstract submission deadline
- Friday, July 22 — Extended abstract submission deadline

We wish to denote that this meeting has an emphasis on students and those in their early career. Thank you to the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences for their support of this workshop. Focus on weather forecasting, numerical weather prediction, operational/logistical interests, and observational network reports along with contributions from around the world are welcome on these topics. Note that the American Meteorological Society’s Madison Collective meeting (including Polar Meteorology and Oceanography) will follow the WAMC/YOPP-SH meeting in Madison August 8 through 12, 2022.
