Mallik S. Mahmud received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in geography and environment from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2011, and the M.Sc. degree in geography from the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada, in 2016, where he is currently pursuing the PhD degree in microwave remote sensing. His research interests include multifrequency microwave remote sensing of Arctic sea ice, with a focus on synthetic aperture radar imagery to monitor dynamic and thermodynamic regimes of Arctic sea ice.

These panels are held at major international conferences and are coordinated by
APECS members. Participation involves a 2-3 hour commitment on the day
of the panel meeting. - One-on-One Mentoring
Email correspondence with APECS members regarding career advice (including
alternative careers in polar/cryospheric issues), research skills, data
