- teamwork
An incubating Northern Giant Petrel surrounded by five seabird field researchers on Marion Island. Northern Giant Petrel prefer nesting next to lava outcrops that shield them from prevailing winds. This means that surveying the breeding population is easier with good teamwork as one needs to look behind every lava outcrop within their nesting habitat in order to complete a census.
