Polar Outreach Catalogue

The Mount Loren Hamlet Council together with grade 11 Experiential Science classes have undertaken studies about water levels and biological changes in Cowley Lake. They developed field studies intend to identify sources of water level problems, assess water quality throughout the year, study the lake?s long term history and recommend remediation. To assist in these studies, teachers received an IPY grant, students collaborated with experts in related fields and held ongoing discussions with community members. A schedule of studies has been developed following preliminary field work.
