A biology teacher was devoted to coordinating the project in collaboration with the scientists involved in the CAML program entitled 'CEAMARC' (Collaborative East Antarctic MARine Census). Each of the 15 selected classes of pupils was linked to its own scientific partner during the year, which was closed by a general student congress.A diary was written aboard the research vessels and uploaded to the Internet each day during the three months expedition.
