Polar Outreach Catalogue

Access to low nutrient processed foods and a decline in physical activity has negatively impacted the health and wellbeing of Northerners. Chronic disease rates are on the rise in the North, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Healthy Foods North will train community outreach workers to collect data in their home communities on healthy food choices, cooking and preparing food, and what constitutes a healthy diet. Participants who successfully completed their Health Foods North training will earn a certification from Aurora College.
