Ice Planet Earth developed a full dome planetarium show for IPY. The project was challenging because they needed to make a story out of ice that was interesting, engaging, and visually appealing. They ended up using satellite data from NASA and a traveler to the arctic and Antarctic. In the first year the film was shown in 30 theatres. The film is formatted for the portable discovery dome that classrooms can check out.
