Something Frozen This Way Comes
- General public
"Something Frozen" is a collection of photographs of the harsh and wildly beautiful continent of Antarctica's Ross Sea region, produced through ANDRILL's Arise Program, 2007. The focus of the initial project proposal titled, "The Art of ANDRILL Science" was to explore the similarities between the creative processes of making art and investigating science. While the subject matter alone makes this an unusual photographic show, it is through a unique perspective that the viewer is afforded a glimpse into this personal experience, transcending landscape photography to engage the viewer in glacial structures, ice patterns, and land formations that contribute to Antarctic ocean sediments.
