The current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation is affecting all of us and therefore also will have an impact on APECS activities in the coming months. The health, safety, and wellbeing of our members and community is our foremost priority. To that end, we wanted to provide an update for APECS activities as well as APECS leadership and National Committee operations during this time of crisis:
- Due to the fast-evolving situation, please be aware of changing regulations for public gatherings / meetings, travel and visa restrictions that are increasingly put in place and vary among countries.
- We encourage every APECS member, Council Project Group and National Committee planning in-person events for the next several months to postpone for a few months, switch the event to an online event, or cancel if necessary. If you want to switch your event to an online event, you are able to use the APECS Zoom licence for that (see our website for instructions on how to book it). - Planning for APECS online events can continue, but please be aware that many APECS members may be working from home or unable to work at all. Response times from the APECS Directorate, Executive Committee, and Council members may be slower than normal.
