We are happy to announce that APECS is part of a newly starting EU project: Arctic PASSION!
Under the leadership of the Alfred Wegener Institute, a consortium of 35 partners from 17 countries will promote the integration an pan-Arctic Observing Systems of Systems (pa-AOSS) and improve the tailoring of these systems to the needs of various user groups ranging from local inhabitants to academia through to industry and decision-makers.
In the frame of the Horizon 2020 Programme, the European Union will provide 15 Mio € to fund the Arctic PASSION project for the period 2021 to 2025, officially starting 1 July 2021.
APECS is involved as co-lead of work package 9: Connecting the pan-AOSS with society through communication, dissemination, and engagement. Specifically, APECS is responsible for developing education, capacity building and training tools and activities for rights- and stakeholders and early career researchers.
We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the Alfred Wegener Institute and our work in transdisciplinary environments.
