The U.S. Permafrost Association will provide travel grants for U.S.-based students and post-graduate researchers (within six years of their terminal degree) to attend the 2016 International Conference on Permafrost in Potsdam, Germany. Successful applicants will receive $2,000. Travel grants will be awarded based on the merit of applications and their application to permafrost science and engineering. The applicant must be first author on a permafrost-related research presentation. Preference will be given to applicants who are current members of both USPA and the Permafrost Young Researchers Network (PYRN). Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
