Association of Polar Early Career Scientists

icarpThe Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) has initiated the development of the next 5-year Arctic Research Plan and is interested in your input. To assist, USAPECS and the IARPC Early Career Forum will be hosting an informational webinar for those interested in contributing to find out more about how they can connect to the efforts. The webinar will be held on May 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM EST / 08:00 AM AKST through IARPC’s Zoom channel.

The Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) invites comments on the next Arctic Research Plan. IARPC will begin developing the next 5-year Arctic Research Plan and wants to know what should be included. Your thoughts and ideas are valued and welcome.

The Arctic Research Plan will coordinate US Federal research activities from 2022-2026 and input from the next generation of Arctic researchers and stakeholders will be critical to its success. This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students, postdocs, early tenure-track academics and other early career individuals to take an active role in shaping these priorities.

A scoping Federal Register Notice (FRN) for the next Arctic Research Plan was published on 3 April 2020 and will be open for comments until 2 July 2020. The full FRN is available online.
