Association of Polar Early Career Scientists

 

Addressing complex, global challenges to sustainability requires bridging disciplinary, sectoral and generational boundaries – but how does this work in practice?

The Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress 2021 (SRI2021) is excited to announce Working outside the box: Stories, approaches and tools for transdisciplinary research, an innovative panel and workshop series convened by the Transdisciplinary Training Collaboratory:  Building Common Ground, led by the Earth Leadership Program!

This offering consists of two parts:  

  1. A panel discussion for 90 minutes on May 6. If you want high-level insights into transdisciplinary research approaches from a stellar group of experts, join us for this free and publicly available panel!  

  2. A two-part interactive workshop for SRI registrants, which will take place on May 11 and 18 for 120 minutes.  This exclusive workshop series for SRI registrants will be targeted at (but not limited to) early-career researchers from around the world, and capped at 20 participants. 

The panel and both workshops will start at 14:00 UTC. This is 8:00 MT, 10:00 EST, 11:00 UYT, 16:00 CET, 18:00 SAST, 19:30 IST, 22:00 CST, 23:00 JST, and 0:00 next-day AEST (Brisbane). 

To apply for the workshop, please become a member of Future Earth and fill out the brief application form by May 7. All costs associated with workshop participation will be covered by comprehensive scholarships provided by Future Earth. Spots for the workshop are competitive, and will fill up quickly - apply soon!
